The Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet was conceived by the ballet legend over many years. In the last decade of her life she examined every aspect of what had been demanded of her throughout her entire life. From this extraordinary point of view, she blended history with the wisdom she had gathered to formulate the concept of the Kirov Choreographic Institute in Russia, which, along with her own Royal Ballet, forms the basis of all ballet today.
