Children will go through an audition process including at least one technique
class. Should there be many candidates, or more candidates than there are
spaces available, this may include one or more call-back auditions.

The audition class is a basic ballet class and is used to determine the general
knowledge of ballet positions, simple movements and an understanding of
body mechanics. It is assumed children will have had prior training in the basics
before entering the Academy.

For those who wish to enter and have had no prior training, a separate class
will be held. This class does not assume any previous training, and determines
the overall coordination of the child, their ability to learn and repeat physical
movement instructions, and their natural ability.
