The Village Square educational program is designed to provide a series of lectures, with demonstration, on elements of performance, technical theater instruction, different aspects of operating and running a company, and the history of theatrical dance performance. These programs will be offered to the general audience at each stop on our tours. Village Square opens the doors of the magical world of theatrical dance so that people can learn more about it, and see if perhaps their own skills and interests might lead them to have a career in some aspect of dance performance or support.

Village Square provides a way for the audience to become smart about the art form. This will translate into better appreciation of things done well, a higher level of stage craft in local community theater productions, and even better school programs. Based on the concept that nothing is wasted, Village Square lectures let anyone who is interested better understand the technical and artistic aspects of this art form. They are scheduled to coincide with the normal operation of coming into a town, setting up the stage, preparing the company for performance, and organizing the tremendous group effort it takes to put on a performance.
